Ian Dempsey has spoken about how he felt taking the risk of leaving RTÉ in 1998. Obviously we now know Ian from his work on TodayFM but he left a successful RTÉ career behind to get to where he is now.

This one is just over a week old but I didn’t see this when researching last weeks summary. There was a great interview on KFM regarding reforms of the licence fee and replacing it with a broadcast charge. Do you think this would solve issues faced by RTÉ and others?

Finally this week The Ryan Tubridy Show is available for sponsorship on Radio 1. The one hour show airs from 9am to 10am on weekdays and sponsorship will set a brand back €295,000. It’s the first time the show has been available for sponsorship in 5 years.
