And finally RTE did it again and pulled off an amazing Toy Show. While not strictly radio it shows how the media can unite the nation. Well done to all involved. Graham Norton announced this week that he is stepping down from his show on BBC Radio 2. He joined the station back in 2010.

96fm in Cork have launched there Christmas stream for 2020. 96Mas plays non stop Christmas music and can be heard on all the usual digital platforms such as Tunein and The 96fm app.

The traditional Liveline Christmas Eve outside broadcast has been cancelled. Plans are underway for a special show to take the place of the outside broadcast this year.

Offaly county councel have granted RTE planning permission to remove there existing medium wave transmitter in the county and replace it with a new communication tower. the Ballycommon mast can now be replaced as long as RTE meat 9 conditions
