Lots happens in the radio industry each week so here’s a summary of the week we just enjoyed.
Here’s what happened

The CEO of Radiocentre has been announced. Ciaran Cunningham will manage the new project which is a collaboration between RTÉ and the IBI. Radiocentre is replacing Choose Radio and will aim to grow revenue in ireland’s radio industry. The very best of luck to Ciaran in his new role from us here at Radio Land.

Peter Smyth who is the CEO of IRS+, said in a piece for AdWorld this week that he thinks radio has a strong future in the new year. He gives some really interesting insight to support this idea so I would certainly recommend giving the article a read.
Finally this week just a small update on Radio Land itself. Next Saturday is Christmas Day so as a result, we’re taking a Christmas break. Christmas Day will also be the final Saturday of the year. But don’t worry we will see you here on Radio Land before the year is out.
- We’ll have a list of 2021’s biggest stories coming out on New Year’s Eve.
- We’ll be back with a regular post on New Year’s Day
- We’ll keep you up to date on any major radio news VIA Twitter over the break so do go follow us there to stay in the loop.
Thank you so much for supporting Radio Land this year and we hope to be giving you all the radio news again in 2022. Have a happy Christmas and new year🎉
